How to Clean Wheel Rims

Car or wheel rims attract dirt, brake dust and road grime. These materials can sit on your rims and, in addition to looking unattractive, can even corrode the metal. Regular washing won't always remove this tough film, so you'll need to use special cleaners designed for wheel rims. A light coating of wax after cleaning will prevent brake dust buildup and improve the look and shine of your rims, no matter what material they're made of.

1.
Rinse the wheel rims with a garden hose to remove loose dirt and debris.

2. Spray the wheel rims with Roman's Wheel Cleaner, working one at a time.

3. Scrub the wheel rim with a soft-bristled scrub brush, Roman's Wheel Cleaning Brush and

Roman's Long Reach Wheel Scrubbing Brush and move on to the next one, spraying and scrubbing
as you go until they're all clean.

4. Rinse the wheel rims thoroughly with the garden hose.

5. Dry the rims with a microfiber cloth.

6. Apply wheel wax to a cloth, and buff the rims until they shine. Use a clean cloth to remove any excess wax.
